Leading provider of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical transport in France and Europe since 2011, Eurotranspharma confirms its position as an expert by obtaining GDP certification for its entire network in France.

A confirmation of more than 12 years of expertise

While official GDP certification by an independent organisation is not mandatory within the transport industry, compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practices) is nevertheless essential for transporting healthcare products and guaranteeing their integrity.

Since its creation, Eurotranspharma has built its operations and its quality processes around GDP. The application of these processes is structured by a quality assurance system and supervised by a pharmacist. The system is audited regularly by clients, and both external and internal auditors.

“The decision to obtain GDP certification for our entire network was a natural one, as we had been following rigorous processes in line with Good Distribution Practices as well as direct audits of our networks by our industry partners since our creation in 2011. The certification is a recognition of these last 12 years.” Samuel Alouin, Managing Director of Eurotranspharma France.

Eurotranspharma has chosen to certify all its agencies and hubs in France as part of an ever increasingly demanding quality approach.“The group to which we belong was created in 1961 by a pharmacist; pharmaceutical culture is fully part of our DNA. Our desire to constantly improve has led us to certify the entire network in France. Indeed, it would have made no sense for us to certify only a single agency.” Samuel Alouin, Managing Director of Eurotranspharma France

A GDP approach supported by innovative tools

Since its creation, Eurotranspharma has always supported its activity with innovative tools in order to meet its clients’ requirements in terms of temperature monitoring and traceability. Eurotranspharma uses digital tools specifically developed for pharmaceutical transport, with a specific TMS (Transport Management System) and tracking of the temperature of all vehicles and hubs in real time with a “temperature control tower”.

A European network

Today, Eurotranspharma is present in 6 countries (France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and, very soon, Spain) and is deploying the same strategy in those regions, offering the industry the first integrated and unified network for pharmaceutical transport in Europe.
