Eurotranspharma, a European specialist in last-mile transport of healthcare products, and BARJANE, a specialist in the logistics and industrial real estate of the future, inaugurated a new 1,500 m2 building in the Parc des Bréguières in Les Arcs-sur-Argens on Tuesday, in the presence of local elected representatives and key players from the region.

Eurotranspharma is continuing to invest in its French network by opening a new site outside Nice.

A new building for Eurotranspharma, European leader in temperature-controlled transport of pharmaceutical products

Strategically located, the new building is directly opposite Eurotranspharma’s former site, which had become too small. To meet the growing needs of Europe’s leading distributor of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products, the new, much larger building is entirely temperature-controlled. From here, Eurotranspharma vehicles deliver vital medicines and medical equipment on a daily basis to pharmacies, hospitals, wholesalers and laboratories throughout the Var and Alpes-Maritimes regions, all under controlled temperatures.

“We were heavily involved in building the new site with our partner BARJANE,” says Sonia Guieu, the branch manager. “The entire site has been designed specifically for our business and to ensure the safety of medicines by ensuring the cold chain is respected and checked at every stage of the distribution process.”

“We are delighted to be inaugurating this new site in Les Arcs-sur-Argens, and we are convinced that this new development will enable us both to meet the growing demand from our customers and to provide an even better quality of service,” says Samuel Alouin, Managing Director of Eurotranspharma France. “Nice is the first in a series of 5 new buildings. Over the next 12 months, we will be commissioning 4 new depots in Rennes, Rouen, Montargis and Toulouse.”

The site is already fully operational and has already enabled us to improve certain phases of production. “It’s thanks to the hard work of our suppliers, BARJANE and our own teams that this process of building and moving into the new site has gone so smoothly,” says Sonia Guieu. “We thank everyone for their dedication to this project, which has already proved its worth.”

A new building in line with the eco-responsible approach of the Parc des Bréguières and Eurotranspharma

Designed in partnership with GBL Architecture, the park’s architect, and built by the Cubic33 Group, the building blends in perfectly with the Parc des Bréguières and complies with all the park’s specifications: architecture unified with the other buildings, maximum natural light in the hall, timber framework minimising the construction’s carbon footprint, reinforced insulation, widespread LED lighting, hydro-economical appliances, a plant palette adapted to the site, compliance with a green worksite charter and BREEAM GOOD certification for the site.

As with all the buildings developed by BARJANE on the Parc des Bréguières, the roof of the building houses a photovoltaic power plant producing renewable energy, with a capacity of 210 kWp, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 55 inhabitants.

“The very essence of our work is to be able to support our customers in their development and to be able to provide them with a high-performance building that perfectly meets the needs of their process, while also providing a pleasant working environment for their teams. With our team, present 24/7 on this business park, which has been awarded the Parc + level 2 label, we work every day to ensure the highest quality of service, and we’re delighted to see our customers renew their confidence in us”. Léo Barlatier, Chairman of BARJANE.
