SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Our sustainable development policy is the result of a long-term commitment, which makes sense only if it is followed and regularly adjusted. That is why we constantly set goals for continuous improvement of our quality service in reduction of paper, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

OBJECTIVE CO2

2013 : SIGNING THE CONVENTION « OBJECTIVE CO2 CARRIERS PLEDGE »

4 work areas with goals to reach over 3 years

  • Fuel economy : All the vehicles are equiped with eco-electronic surveillance designed to get to know our drivers habits on the road.
  • Conductor behaviour : All drivers are trained within the boundaries of the GDP. Each agency has a nominated driving instructor responsable for the training of the other drivers in ecological driving practice.
  • Organisation : We aim to equip our vehicules with multi temperature facilities in order to optimize delivery and number of rotations
  • Vehicule : Comparaison of the efficienty between manual or automatic gearbox and select the most ecological compromise.

VEHICLE FLEET

MAINTAINING VEHICLE FLEET

  • regular renewal of the fleet (90% of EURO5 vehicles, 8% to Euro 6 vehicles, 2% EURO4 vehicles)
  • Scrupulous monitoring of vehicle maintenance in order to avoid over-consumption and accidents
  • Implementation of ways to combat road hazards: non accident bonus, traffic ticket management…

CARBON FOOTPRINT

CARBON FOOTPRINT ESTIMATION

  • Calculating an annual index of carbon per kilogram of transported parcels
  • Monthly monitoring of CO2 emissions for each customer (personalized report available on request)

NATURAL RESSOURCES

IMPLEMENTATION OF PDA AND REDUCTION BY 1/3 OF PAPER DELIVERY RECEIPTS IN 2016

  • Decrease the cutting of trees (over 230 “saved” trees per year)
  • Reduction of CO2 emissions (over 5800 kg of CO2 per year)
  • Reduction of water consumption (504 000 liters of water less per year)
